This monograph presents the existing literary evidence related to the art music practices of the Portuguese Jewish Community of Amsterdam in the 18th century. It includes an inventory of the notated musical sources preserved in the library of the community in Amsterdam, an edition of some of the works, and background on the musical occasions in which this music was performed. 144p.
