Segah

Author: Rabbi Nissim Lopes. In this recording Abraham Caspi sings the piyyut by himself, with little participation on the part of the congregants. After the recording had been made, I found that most of the congregants, with the exception of Caspi who has known this tune since his childhood, are not familiar with this lahan. It consists of four musical units, corresponding to the four verses of the strophe. Melodic structure: a-a'-a-b. In this recording only strophes 1, 3, and 5 are sung.
