Born in Vilnius in 1956, studied at the Ciurlionis School of Arts and Vilnius Conservatoire (piano class of Professor Marietta Azizbekova). Played youthful solos under Maestro Saulius Sondeckis and under Maestro Juozas Domarkas, and performed youthful recitals throughout Lithuania.
From 1977 in Israel, graduated from Tel Aviv University and Music Academy (piano class of Professor Viktor Derevianko), with advanced piano course under Louis Kentner in London in 1984.
Broad concert activities since 1980, including Israel Philharmonc Orchestra, and other orchestras, also in Europe and USA, under numerous conductors. Recital activities and recordings for Meridian (London) and Sound-Star-Ton (Germany). Numerous recordings for Israeli Broadcasting Authority and - in recent years - for Lithuanian Music Archive. Many thematic duo performances with violinist Prof. Raimondas Butvila, and joint appearances with actor-journalist-philosopher Emmanuel Halperin (in programs devoted to Franz Liszt, Maurice Ravel and Jean Sibelius). Numerous chamber music collaborations in Israel, Germany and Lithuania.
PhD dissertation of Hebrew University (1998) devoted to Ernest Bloch and his creative work. Expanded academic activity from 2000, with cultural research for Sapir Cultural Research Forum (Sderot) since 2007. Teaching position at the Jerusalem Academy of Music since 1990, supplemented by lecturing services in other Israeli colleges. Many master-classes in USA and Europe - West and East, since 1993.
Social writing and publications for various general public journals, including the Israeli journal 'Tav+' and Lithuanian outlet 'Kulturos Barai' since 2008. A Book 'Be-Lev Shomea' (The Heeding Heart') on Israeli social wounds and on music, has been published by Pardes Publisher in 2012.
