Haim Effendi

Seder 'avodah, the remembrance of the Jerusalem Temple ritual for the Day of Atonement (qorbanot), is performed during the afternoon service of Yom Kippur. Haim repeats twice the section of the text that is performed in the synagogue by the cantor. This unique, slow, solemn melody combines long melismas with syllabic, declamative sections.
