(14 a) This wedding song refers, in the first person, to bathing at the river (v. 1-2), where she meets her beloved (v. 3-6). "Oh bride of the beautiful body! What do you secretly put on (v. 7-10) to look so well in the eyes of your husband (v. 13-14), white enamel or gold dust?" (v. 11-12).
(14c) A variant of song 14a. The bride comes walking (v. 1) and the groom follows her (v. 2), telling her she is a maiden (v. 4). The refrain (v. 5-6, 7-10) is the same as in 14b.
(14 d) In the song the bride answers the questions asked in 14a: her mother did not put anything on her to make her beautiful (v. 1-2). This bride is like the moon (v. 3-4), her face is like enamel (15-16), or like a star (v. 9-10). The refrain (v. 5-6, 11-12, 17-18, 23-24) is the same as in 14b.
