This somewhat surreal film, inspired by Jewish writers Haim Nahman Bialik, S.Y. Agnon, and I.L Peretz, tells the tale of a young man, played by Yiddish theater and Broadway actor Mike Bursyn, who is transported back to the Shtetl (small Eastern European city where Jews would primarily live) in order to experience the Sabbath. The music in the film was composed by Noam Sheriff, and includes versions of Lechu Neranena, Shalom Aleichem, Kiddush, and 16th century poet Rabbi Yisrael Halevi Najara's Ya Ribun Alam Ve'Almaya (Additional information on Ya RIbon Alam can be found in Hebrew, here). Additionally it includes a large scale dance scene to a Hassidic Nigun.
