Max Janowski was born in Berlin, Germany and immigrated to the U.S. in 1937. He was a musical director of KAM Isaiah Israel Congregation in Chicago, and as a composer composed about 500 works. His most famous compositions are : Avinu Malkeinu and Sim Shalom.
