In 1977, a sequel was released titled Kuni Lemel b'Tel Aviv (Kuni Lemel in Tel Aviv). The film was directed by Joel Silberg, starring Mike Burstyn again in the double role of Kuni and Muni Lemel, identical twin brothers who are competing for a five million dollar inheritance from their grandfather. The inheritance is conditional on moving to Israel and marrying a suitable Jewish woman. Mandy Rice-Davies plays opposite Burstyn in the role of Marilyn Jones, Muni's non-Jewish girlfriend, who seduces Kuni to stall for time while she undergoes a conversion to Judaism.
