Agadelkha elohai (I will make thee great my Lord)

Author: Abraham ibn Ezra. Three melodies in maqam Ajam are performed with this poem: 1. Agadelkha- Egyptian lahan, Salam alqadawi; 2. Reki'ei  rum, lahan of the Egyptian royal anthem. 3. Meromam, lahan of a folk tune from Bukhara (Uzbekistan) brought to Israel in the early twentieth century by immigrants from that Central Asian city. The tune became very well known in Israel through its Hebrew cover version Bukhara  hayafa (Beautiful Bukhara) included in the early 1950s musical Naser a-Din produced by Yosef Ben Israel.
