Author: Eliyahu Hamwi. The lahan is sung between a solo singer and the congregation in a responsorial manner. It begins with a sort of refrain on the word hai, sung by the solo singer. This is followed by four musical units corresponding to the four verses of each of its six strophes. Each unit csonsists of two motifs. The first two verses are sung by the congregation, the last two are antiphonic between solo and congregation. The musical progressions sung by the solo singers (refrain, first part of units c and d) are melismatic without clear beat. Melodic structure:
