Acrostic: Shemayahu. The lahan consists of four musical units each of which corresponds to the four verses of the strophe. Melodic structure: a-a'-a"-a'. The introduction line consists of units a-a'. In strophes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, units a and a" are sung by soloists. In this recording, the second and the last strophes are sung by the solo singer to a different tune. In other synagogues in Jerusalem, such as Ades, the last strophe alone is sung to a lahan different from that of the others.
