Oy, qué relumbror

Clara Kadman (Sarajevo)

This is one of the very few dance songs found in the Sephardic repertoire. The opening strophe says: “Oh, what radiance coming from the beautiful bride, let her live for a hundred years and be happy. Come, my bride, we will rejoice.” Second strophe: “Oh, what shining eyebrows and forehead, let her live for a hundred years and be joyful. Come out and dance, I want to see you dancing.”
