Sara Shahar-Miles-Agranat (Izmir)

This lullaby is a romance about a deceived wife (Armistead 1978: topic L13). The mother is singing a lullaby to her child, complaining that her husband is entertained by his lover. She decides to follow her treacherous husband to his lover’s house, which is beautifully furnished with good food ready on the tables. Almost all of the verses have a common rhyme, í-a, following a common scheme of the romance genre.
