On the Study of the Musical Traditions of the Jews of Afghanistan

The article describes the current state of the research and preservation of the musical tradition of the Jews of Afghanistan, with emphasis on their liturgy and paraliturgy. Some examples of paraliturgical hymns (Piyyutim) are presented with their notes.
