Maqam Rast performed by Haskel Qassab, accompanied by Avraham Salman (qanun), Yacov Shemov (possibly alternate name for Yaqub al-‘Amari) on ‘ud, and Menache Nessim on percussion. Followed by a song excerpt "Marabat" (?). Qassab’s version resembles Salim Shibbith’s in mood but is less ornamented than al-‘Amari’s. Recorded in Israel in 1969 (tape 32A, item 1; radio tape 1169).
