Nashid by David signed David qatan ani, a prayer for redemption. The first four four verses and the last, which are sung here, are printed. This is an extremely popular song and is performed both as an independent song, as here, and as an introduction to the shira and hallel that follow it.
Yosef Ozeiri chooses in which order to perform the verses: he sings the first and second in a slow melody and flowing rhythm, and then the fourth, the third and the last to a faster and more regular beat, accompanied by a tin pan. Finally, he repeats the fourth stanza to the music of the first melody.
