Abrimes, galanica (Todos son inconvenientes)
A well-known lyric song consisting of a dialogue in which a lover asks to be let in to his beloved’s house. In response, the bride informs him of the dangers that this move would pose: the risk of being seen by her father who is studying (está meldando), by her mother who is sewing, or by her brother who is writing. Her lover proposes a solution to each difficulty (turn off the light, steal the needle or hide the pen). The first three lines, “Abridme galanica...” becomes a sort of refrain, repeated after every dialogue between a “problem” and its proposed “solution.”
