Zelda Machorro Barbut (Istanbul)
Kayikçi (Retahila para balanceo)
This is probably the most well-known parent-child game among the Turkish Sephardim. The parent sits with the child on his/her knees, face-to-face, holding the child’s hands, and moving them like oars rowing in a boat (kayikci in Turkish). At the end, the parent lets the child lean backwards, as if falling.
