Shoshana Ben-Dor is an important scholar of Ethiopian Jews in Israel since 1979. She studies the Ethiopian culture and traditions, including the prayer tradition and language of the Ethiopian Jews. In her many trips to Ethiopia, she studied the culture and language of the Ethiopian community.
Ben-Dor is the director in Israel of North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry.
