Et Sha're Ratzon

Aldo Perez, Leo Levi

Piyyut by Yehudah Shemuel Abbas (12th Century) based on a Midrashic rendition of the sacrifice of Yitzhak. The Sephardic ritual includes it for Rosh Hashannah. In the Italian ritual it also appears in the fifth selihah of the Ne'ilah service. This Torinese version is still sung today on Yom Kippur, with the congregation repeating the refrain at the end of each stanza.
