H. Rejoicing: Taqsim, Hish Ana

Ahavat 'olamim ends on a note of joy. Hish ana is a rare piyyut that R. Haim Louk recalls from his childhood. For the Ahavat 'olamim production, R. Louk has reconstructed the words of this song from memory, completing them as needed. The piyyut is based on a modern Spamish flamenco-style melody, with the words Hish ana imitating the sound of the Spanish word gitana (gyspy). A guitar solo (by Armond Sabah) precedes the piyyut.
