Instrumental piece

Instrumental melody performed on a flute accompanied by percussions. Name of a performer, place and date are unknown. Cylinder # 621.   2:59

The melody is preceded by a short announcement possibly by Isaac Lurie, who recorded the performance: “Barbayev…Murad(t) Farrukin…Bashkara”. The recording appears to be unrelated to Lurie’s expedition to Jerusalem. Bashkara is a high mountain region in Georgia (Western Caucasus) and Barbayev, most probably the name of the performer, is common in Central Asia. There are no percussion instruments on this recording.
