Rabbi Hanna Tiferet Siegel is a spiritual guide, a Rabbi of the renewal Judaism, and the first woman to receive the title of Eshet Hazon (woman of vision). She also studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as a Melton Senior Educator from 1996 to 1997 and earned a Masters of Jewish Studies Degree at Boston Hebrew College in 2003.
Her music style was inspired by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach who encouraged her to compose her own prayers and renew the Jewish music tradition; by Rabbi Zalman Schachter Shalomi that taught her Hasidic 'Niggunim' (Tunes); and by Debbie Friedman with her new singer-songwriter Jewish music style. Her compositions promote Jewish feminism, through the fact that men and women are exposed and get accustomed to the female voice in the prayer.
