Klein holds a PhD from Bar-Ilan University, primarily focusing on Ashkenazi Cantorial recitatives and performance practice. He has published several articles in journals and books, covering topics such as Cantor Glantz’s Musical Agenda, Carlebach Nusah vs. Cantorial Recitatives, and the performance styles of 20th-century cantorial recitatives. His paper on the Musical Supplication in the Golden Age of Ashkenazi Cantorial Art earned him the Young Scholar Award from the Israel Musicological Society. Additionally, he holds a degree in Computer Science. His dual expertise in music and technology has enabled him to develop unique tools and applications that merge traditional musicology with cutting-edge technology, including software for audio spectral analysis, audio codec conversion, music analysis, and music therapy.
