Adiel Ben Shalom

Hold a second degree in Computer Science from the Hebrew University. He specializes in the Yemenite music and the melodies of the Diwan Jewish community of Tsa'na, collaborating with Prof. Edwin Seroussi. Expertise includes Yemenite folk songs and women's singing. He contributed to technological developments in digital humanities projects, including computational analysis of Yemenite Biblical cantillation with Prof. Roni Granot, the Friedberg Project for Cairo Genizah computing, and Dead Sea Scrolls computation. Founder and consultant of professional musical ensembles performing traditional Yemenite songs: "Kolot Teman" choir led by Ravid Kahalani, "Banat Al-Yemen" ensemble performing women's Yemenite songs, and the Yemenite orchestra conducted by Eyal Al-Wahab.
