This entry is part of an online exhibit entitled: 'Abraham Goldfaden: A Centennial Tribute,' prepared by Eva Heinstein with help from the JMRC staff. To view the exhibit in its entirety click on the link above.

The score of Goldfaden's musical comedy Tsvey Kuni Lemel was released in 1911 as part of a series of Goldfaden operettas published by the New York Hebrew Publishing Company in folio form. These folios share similar covers that feature Goldfaden's portrait prominently, framed by Greek columns and angelic entertainers. While there is some variation in the ornamentation of the covers, Goldfaden's portrait is consistently displayed prominently on these scores.
