Musicologist, librarian, head of the Music Dept. at the National Library, Jerusalem

Ph. D., University of California Los Angeles, Department of Music, 1988. Her thesis: Singing for Survival: Songs of the Lodz Ghetto, 1940–45 was published by the University of Illinois Press in 1992. Director of the Music Department of the Jewish National and University Library. Research interests: Yiddish folk song with emphasis on the Holocaust period. Currently engaged at the JMRC in the preparation of the scholarly edition of the Yiddish songs collection of M. Beregovski.
