Courtney is a graduate student at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying under Professor Edwin Seroussi. She was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, singing Jazz and Classical music from a young age. She continued to study voice at Wheaton College, receiving her BA in Music and English Literature, where she began to develop a growing interest in musicology and ethnographic work. Currently she works as a research assistant at the JMRC and as a graduate teaching assistant at Hebrew University. Aside from her music studies, Courtney is also an Ashtanga Yoga instructor based in Tel Aviv.
