Born in Jerusalem 1928. Graduated from Kaduri High School (1946). Founder of kibbutz Iftah in the Galilee in 1949. B.A. Rubin Academy of Music, Tel-Aviv (1953). Composer, arranger and musical director of theater and cinema. M.A. thesis, Tel-Aviv University. Thesis: “The Niggun Experience in Chabad Hasidism” (1998). At the JMRC: research on Hassidic music.
