Born in Odessa, (toady in Ukraine). Studied music in Warsaw, Berlin and Vienna. Worked as a violin player in Warsaw, as the first violin in the Warsaw Radio Symphony Orchestra. Immigrated to Palestine in 1937 to play first violin in the Palestine Orchestra (later 'Israel Philharmonic Orchestra'), until his retirement in 1969. Among his compositions are works for solo instruments, orchestral and chamber works.
