Abigail Wood

Lecturer in ethnomusicology in the Department of Music, University of Haifa. Completed her PhD on Yiddish song in contemporary North America at Cambridge University, UK in 2004, supervised by Dr. Ruth Davis. She was Lecturer in Music at Southampton University from 2002-6, and moved to take up the Joe Loss Lectureship in Jewish Music at SOAS, University of London in 2006. In 2013 her book ''And we're all brothers': Singing in Yiddish in contemporary North America' has been published. Current research interests include contemporary klezmer and Yiddish song, music in Jewish-Christian relations and music in immigrant communities in contemporary Israel.
